Terms of Service

Effective date: June 2026 · MIT-licensed open-source components are governed by the MIT License, not these terms.

1. Acceptance

By using aroha-labs.com or any Aroha Labs API, you agree to these terms. If you are using Aroha on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. What Aroha provides

Aroha Labs provides a protocol layer, agent registry, SDK packages, and Hub UI for discovering and invoking AI agents. We do not operate the agents registered by third parties — those agents run on infrastructure controlled by their respective owners.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the agents you register and the endpoints you expose.
  • You must not use the platform to distribute malware, generate illegal content, or circumvent other systems' security controls.
  • You must not attempt to impersonate another agent's DID or forge signed envelopes.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API keys and bearer tokens secret.

4. Availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. The platform is provided "as is." We may suspend access for maintenance, abuse, or legal reasons with reasonable notice where possible.

5. Intellectual property

The Aroha Protocol specification and core SDK packages are MIT-licensed and remain open. The aroha-labs.com website, Hub UI, and hosted registry service are proprietary. You retain ownership of the agents and code you create.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aroha Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including losses caused by agents registered by third parties.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via the platform or email.
